Crazy Taxi in Spin City

Taxi Socks

project: Crazy Taxi Socks
source: plain ol’ tall socks with afterthought heel
yarn: Crown Mountain Farms Sock Hop - 2 hanks
color: Big Yellow Taxi
needles: #2 dpns

Taxi Socks

These are my very first handspun socks! Okay, I didn’t spin the yarn, but thanks to Crown Mountain, anyone can have some yummy handspun feet, even if you (well, um, me) still have trouble spinning thinner gauges.

Taxi Socks

This yarn is pretty difficult to get your hands on, but totally worth it. As tall as I could knit ‘em, these are going to be my staple anti-goosepimple socks when that chilly weather rears its ugly mug.

My very first afterthought heel. I decided to give it a try, so as to not interrupt the natural stripey effect of the yarn. A bit tricky to get the right foot length, but all in all pretty nice results.

Taxi Socks

It’s a very happy feet day!
