It’s so easy being green.

project: Raglan Leaf Tee
source: Free Pattern from knitting school dropout
yarn: Debbie Bliss Cathay - 5 balls
color: #006 olive
needles: #5 circs

I love the way this turned out, a very simple pattern with a lovely lace front. The DB Cathay was pretty nice to work with, and has a good drape for a top like this. I especially love the little cap sleeves, super easy, no fuss at all, just bind off and continue on with the body. The top isn’t blocked yet, but it’s fitted enough that the lace pops nicely when worn.

I’m so glad everyone enjoyed my socks in the last post, thanks for your wonderful comments. Still working on loving my Summertime tunic.
More socks on the horizon, I’ve just cast on for some Gentleman’s Fancy Socks, and have one completed Eleanor.

Fancy socks-Dream in Color, Good Luck Jade; Eleanor-Posh Lucia in Scuffle.

I’ve already got more socks on the brain. Did everyone get to see these beauties yet? I’m also trying to choose a second pattern to work on. Seems my formula for avoiding SSS is to knit two pairs at once. Once sock each, then go back and repeat. So far it’s been breaking up the monotony of that second foot, and when I’m all done, I’ve got two pairs!
In larger knit news, it just so happens that some pretty green Rowanspun dk arrived on my stoop yesterday, Tangled Yoke Cardi, here I come!
And what else is in store for Fall?

clockwise from top left: Tiltled Duster, Phildar Sweater, Slanted Neck Pullover, Cherie, Mrs. Darcy, Cozy V-Neck Pullover; two centers: Dream in Color Shrug, German Stockings.
I already have yarn stashed for all of these projects (and more…it’s a sickness I tell ya.)

Looks perfect on you!! I’m thinking of the tilted duster too…why, not sure..wondering if Peace Fleece would work for it. hmmm.. Nice socks too! I like your idea of combatting SSS too! I try to do mine simultaneously, but geesh, when you finish the foot/cuff sometimes you do want a change!

The tee looks great on you! I enjoyed seeing your fall knits too. The Dream in Color Shrug looks like a great choice for variegated yarn. I’m always looking for non-sock patterns for my hand-dyed yarns.

Yummy finished objects! I’m working on some Cable Rib socks too, though I’ve stalled due to frogging a bit as I didn’t exactly pay close enough attention to the pattern at the heel, and didn’t like the way the cable pattern turned… so I’m backing up and adjusting a bit… I hate backing up… oh well, I’m getting my knitting mojo back, so I think they’ll be cruising along again soon…
Happy knitting-

Your Rusted Root top looks great! Of all the color yarn I’ve seen used for it, I think that green looks the best.
The German Stockings look so delicious. Looks like you’ve got a good lineup of future WIPs!
