Scatterbrained

second monkeys

So the second Monkey socks are done, have been for about 2 weeks I think, but finally I got around to the pics.

second monkeys

Done in just some random yarn I dyed up one day. I think the pooling came out kinda funny, like I spilled chocolate milk all over them or something. But the shorter length worked out well (4 repeats before the heel flap).

Glad everyone liked my upcoming projects. It’s always fun to share the excitement of the vast array of great patterns out there with everyone. It doesn’t make choosing what to knit first any easier though.

leaf t-shirt

I finally decided to cast on for the Leaf T-shirt. Of course right after, the new knitty came out, and Coachella started calling. Not that I don’t have plenty of items floundering in half-finished-ness. But I managed to keep my focus long enough to get all my Thermal pieces done, if not seamed together yet. And I took time out to get cracking on last summer’s partially knitted Rusted Root. As soon as it’s done blocking the pics will be taken.

The one thing I can focus on of course, is buying more sock yarn. My newest editions:

Vesper Crew
Misty Mountain Farms
Misty Mountain Farms

Vesper striped yumminess in Crew, and Misty Mountain Farms Jubilee Sock in Mountain Mist and Sandy Foam.

I’ve got a stockpile of yarns all set for Summer of Socks, some I’ve shown here already. If you want to see more of the sock stash, you can check out my flickr page, or my new Ravelry page (YAY! Woo-hoo!) that I’m still working on entering everything. There are so many great sock patterns, I haven’t even begun to think about what to start on first. What’s everyone else knitting for Summer of Socks?
