Do the Monkey!

project: Monkey Socks
source: knitty.com
yarn: sKNITches new Kettle Drum semi-solid - 1 hank
color: Amethyst
needles: #1 dpns

Can you tell I’m happy with my new socks?

So far this is definitely my favorite pattern. It doesn’t take a lot of time, very easy to follow, and great results.

I love them so much, there’s already another pair on the needles.

Thermal is also coming along, though I’m in a bit of a sleeve rut right now. I just can’t seem to get moving on them, but at least the body is all complete.

I’ll keep at it, but my mind is wandering towards more summery knits right now…

sKNITches Update: At last!! The shop will be updated tomorrow, May 15th at 1 p.m. EST. Included will be the new Kettle Drum semi-solid yarns, in all 13 colorways!

Where is the little Chinese-esque top from? It looks so familiar, but I can’t find the pattern.

Aren’t the monkey socks the best? Love that pattern, and that yarn is beautiful - what a perfect match for the pattern.

Those are so lovely! I’m enthralled by the colors on the second sock. When you say “favorite pattern,” do you mean favorite socks, or favorite pattern in general?

Yikes, nothing like a sleeve rut to slow your knitting to a grinding halt, but I agree, at least the body is done. I recently learned that a sleeve is the equivalent to doing a front or back, so maybe that explains why it takes so long. I had always imagined that it was much shorter.
And the socks, the socks! SO gorgeous, I can see why you’re so smitten…nice work! And I’ll be checking out that evil little shop of yours later today!;)

make the thermal short sleeves. i did and i love it. being that it uses such fine yarn, it really makes a great spring/fall knit that way.

Yes, I love the Monkey pattern too. Love the yarn you used for the first pair. Like to summer patterns you’re looking at. Which one did you choose?

It seems like the yarn and the pattern were a perfect match. So darling!
Thermal is looking awesome. Hopefully the sleeve rut won’t last too long.

I love the color of both your monkey socks! Is there a chance that you could post a picture of the gussets? I have a pair of Monkeys on the needles and I’m pretty sure I’ve messed up the gussets.
