Don’t put away the longjohns yet

No, I don’t have news of another cold front! And though I’m sort of finishing up the winter projects, I found another sweater that I couldn’t resist any longer, Thermal!

knitpicks bare dyed

This is some Knit Picks Bare fingering weight, dyed a semi-solid pale lavender. The sweater has a simple appealing stitch pattern that I thought very subtle tonal changes would suit nicely. The sweater was oh-so intriguing, and a KAL for it was all the excuse I needed to dive in.

A sweater in fingering weight?! Well, I’ve found a remedy for that worry, knit with even smaller needles!

2x2 ribbed step

Another sock is off the needles, and isn’t it a cutie? The size 3 needles felt pretty large and comfy after using 1’s for this little number.

You’re thinking, ‘But what happened to the Monkey socks?’ Don’t stress, they’re getting their turn on the needles too.

I love the way the slight color changes turned out on the sKNITches Kettle Drum yarn, but the bamboo sheen makes color accuracy a little tricky to photograph.

Monkey Socks

Two socks done for 2007, even if they’re not a pair, it counts, doesn’t it?

Thanks to everyone for enjoying my little sock yarn flash. Great plans are in the works for some of those yarns for a sock-knitting filled summer! Let’s hope it hurries up and gets here. 8)

isn’t it funny now 1’s make 3’s seem huge? an interesting stitch pattern makes the sweater fly off the needles :)

Great socks, and great start on your Thermal! We’ve got an April Winter Storm Advisory up here (Minnesota) so maybe it’s not too late for me to start something like that…
Oh, I am longing for warmer weather, but until then I’ll just keep knitting indoors.
    Happy knitting,
