Christmas comes early!
Now I know I raved and drooled over the Lendrum wheel, but when your Mom offers your dream Christmas gift early, and Lendrum isn’t in the budget, you get the next best thing. Meet my Kromski Mazurka!
Packed all the way from Poland, all this newspaper and magazine wrappings really are in Polish!
It came together fairly easily, and the best part? No waiting!! The Kromski wheels don’t sell out as fast as the Lendrums, so I was able to get this baby within 3 DAYS of ordering! Thanks to the wonderful staff at The Woolery. And lots of extras: a matching niddy noddy, extra bobbin, and the beautiful arched tensioned lazy kate.
At last, all set up and ready for action.
Since it seems to be tradition to name your wheel, I decided to dub him, Tadzio, after the beautiful Polish boy in Death in Venice.
And what have Tadzio and I been up to over the weekend?
Yummy alpaca, and my ‘practice’ gray corriedale. If I can spin this well after 1 day, this wheel must be magic.
Oh yeah, there’s gonna be some fiber shopping very soon! Thanks MOM!!
And thanks to all of you guys for your great comments on my Hoodie. It’s getting lots of wear already, at least when I’m not sitting around in pj’s spinning.
