Go Fetch!

Just a little instant gratification knit during this past weekend.

I loved making these, very fast, very fun. Made with 2 balls of some a.c. moore luxury cashmere I had stashed around, in a blue that is much less “cookie monster” than the pics. Two balls because I knit them on #5 dpns instead of 6’s, knowing that they were bound to be to loose otherwise. Really even 4’s would be good if you’re skinny-handed like me.

Other mods were I elongated the wrist a bit, and added an extra twist at the knuckles (an accident, I admit, but why not just go with it?)
My theme for fall otherwise seems to be more and more about browns and beiges. Not really sure what’s with that, just that everywhere I go, every yarn I look at, for some reason only the neutrals are speaking to me.

Case in point: my new sweater. This warm, fuzzy little number is soon to be a striped hooded alpaca wonder. Based on Ann Budd’s raglan sweater formula, and inspired by this wonderful knitter’s creation, and this shirt I stumbled upon while net window-shopping last month. Everyone always comments how warm alpaca is, so with any luck, this sweater will be my insurance card in desperate weather.
Of course this neutral trend started with my CPH, which is currently being seamed!! Pics to come any day now (promises, promises!)
sKNITches update: Will be Friday, Nov. 10th, 11 a.m. EST. More yarns added, and a special sale this time around.

Ooh, your sweater looks lovely! I’m glad mine inspired you. I wear that hoodie all the time, it’s the softest, most flattering knit I currently have.
