The end?

So Socktoberfest has reached it’s last day. But there’s talk of continuing on, and that’s a good thing, for my two newest, pairless socks.

I’ve had such a blast participating in this, I think I’ve officially gone from a sock-liker (no, not licker), to a sock-lover. From now on, there will probably always be a pair or two on the needles. Thanks so much to our hostess!

pomatomus socks

My first pomatomus sock is done, I just love it. The foot chart went smoother than expected, maybe because I got used to the charts. It’s very clingy and feels wonderful on, thanks to dropping down to the size 1 needles.

Of course what I didn’t bargain for, was the fact that that also meant more yardage (duh). I had to dip into the second hank to complete the toe, so guess these socks are on hold for a bit while I scramble to find a third hank of koigu.

Socks aren’t the only thing going on around here though. The Central Park Hoodie is finally being seamed up to start the ribbing and hood (sorry no pic of that). And…

alpaca!

…I’ll talk about this little project next time.

The socks look great, so sorry you seem to be short of koigu for the second pom. There is something super-special about making and wearing hand-knit socks isn’t there?
