Orangina in the sun

orangina

My Orangina top is all complete (except for some ends to weave in—I just hate all that weaving in, even more than seaming). Decided to take some outdoor pics, since after days of rain and chill, the sun shines again at last.

I actually knit this in a size smaller (the 34″). I had this fear that the slight puffing out just above the ribbing would accentuate my own slight puffing around the mid section that I’d rather not add to. ;P

Some close-up views, one of the shoulder seam, and of the lace looking a bit wonky since I’m sitting. All in all, I really like the way it came out. The lace was not very difficult but looks way impressive to others, and it’s super comfortable to wear.

And lots of progress was made during all that rain on the Central Park Hoodie. Those narrow strips on each side are actually the side pieces, not the sleeves.

I’ll start blocking these pieces today, while I get cracking on the sleeves.

Hopefully I’ll be knitting the hood before the next cold day comes storming in.

sKNITches update:
The shop has been updated with new and restocked yarns, yay!

Your Orangina looks fantastic!!! I really wish I could have finishd mine - but uh, it would have looked really silly with my belly sticking out. I’ll just admire yours. :-) I can’t wait to see how your other sweater turns out! Looks so cozy and yummy.

I cant’ believe how gorgeous your Orangina is, what an amazing job you did with knitting it up! The pattern and the yarn you were using rock big time, and it seems to fit you so perfectly! I also love how your Hoodie is coming along - have to admit I’m getting a bit jealous when I see how neatly and evenly your cabling is done ;) Perfect!
