Fall on Me

In the back of my mind the past week or so, has been a cry for change. I guess I finally have had enough of summer. And since we’re heading into September and back-to-school time, I wanted to post a bit about all the sweaters that have been floating around in my scatterbrain little mind.

Since I never did finish my summer list, first thing will be to finish at least some of those projects taunting me from the right side of this screen (how did all those progress bars get there? I swear I don’t have wips shoved under piles of books on the sofa) Some things I had planned for this summer I’ll just carry over, like the clapotis, the reverse bloom washcloths, the hobo bag, the karabella cabled top, the rebecca wrap cardi and orangina.

projects to still get done

Here’s a list of some of the beautiful designs tempting me towards the colder months:

embossed leaves socks (IK)
ballet wrap cardigan (IK)
fetching (knitty)
central park hoodie (knitscene)
starsky (knitty)
gull stitch cardigan (IK)
asymmetrical vest (Loop-d-Loop)
licorice whip sweater (Blue Alvarez Designs)

thinking of fall projects

one of the lovely designs from Knitting Nature
rpm socks (knitty)
hourglass sweater (LMKG)
purl scarf (LMKG)
smith socks (Noro Knits)
raspy or action sweater (Rowan denim people)
turtleneck shrug (Scarf Style)
hedera socks (knitty)

thinking of fall projects

I’m always so ambitious in the planning phase. Not included in this list are all the possibilities for gifts this Christmas, but I don’t have to start thinking about that already, do I?

SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT:

Things have been bustling along, and so the sKNITches shop will finally open up on Wednesday, August 30th at 2pm EST. There are lots of different yarns to choose from, but for this first time quantities are very limited. Also, there will be a Special Edition yarn with each update, available 1 time only, except by custom order, so watch for that. I’ll be accepting paypal for now, and there will hopefully be a mailing list up for people to sign up to get info on stock updates in the future.

Next time: orangina in progress (oh yeah, there is still knitting being done, don’t worry!)

I thought I was the only one who hadn’t made an Hourglass Sweater! I’m planning on starting mine in the fall too, right after I finish one of my many summer WIPs… :)

Well, this just confirms it, you have fabulous taste. I love how you organized your future knits in those collages…like pretty maids all in a row. Can’t wait to see what you knit next.
