sock it to me…

Okay, so I’m still stalled on my second jaywalker, and I know I said I wouldn’t start another pair, but…

ribbed socks

…come on, I just had to. And watching my own hand-dyed yarn come to life was too hard to resist. This is that rusty blue denim yarn I dyed a couple of weeks ago, knit as a simple 2×2 ribbed sock on #2 dpns (yarn is Kona superwash dk/sport—sooo much faster to knit up!)

Hopefully the partner to this sock will be coming soon…unless of course I’m short on yarn (please no! I knew there was a reason for toe-up/2 on circs at a time).

And just so we’re clear that I’ve totally jumped into this feet fir… (I didn’t almost type that), two more sock knitting books just happened to make it into my library. :)

Finally, this strange texture pic is the start of my ribbon x-back, (see, it’s not only socks). Mostly, it’s a bragging/practice photo to teach myself the macro feature on our new digital cam.

Love the sock! (The dk Kona is addicting!)

The ribbon xback’s texture is so cool, too :)

Hey — I love the color of your x-back yarn — and I will be totally interested to see how your x-back turns out since mine was completely diastrous and in the end I resized it and knit it for my three year old. I so wanted it to work but I am looking forward to seeing yours.

And I am with you about the socks.

    Your sock looks gorgeous!

I am planning on grabbing those two books, too. All the socks I keep seeing, making me want to try.

Hey, if I dyed my own yarn and it turned out cool, I’d drop everything and knit it. Rock on, yo! And love that final pictcure, macro is cool! Now if only I could get my hands to stop shaking when I want a detail pic, bf says to breathe out…. Can’t wait to see the fo!

Hi from Austria! Wow, these socks are fantastic, and I totally adore your hand-dyed yarn, the colors are so gorgeous! I’m planning to get the “Knitting Vintage Socks” book as well, I heard only praise about it and think there’s a bunch of awesome projects in it! Happy Knitting!

hey, you always take great pictures. I am excited you have a new digicam, (and that you are exploring it’s features) because I think you’ve got an eye for photography. it’s one of the things I like about your site.

Love that sock! Don’t feel guilty about starting a new one - think of how happy you’ll be when you have TWO new pairs to enjoy.

I’m also digging the xback top - nice choice of yarns. It looks like it’s really knitting up quickly - is it a good quick summer knit?

Oh girl! I am loving that you hand dyed this yarn and knitting it up into an awesome pair of socks!! It’s looking so fabulous in the ribbing.
