graduating
It was bound to happen. I’ve graduated to the world of acid dyes. The colors are simply amazing, definitely color-addict-friendly. So I’ve been experimenting around with perfecting the art of the variegated yarn. Color is in the air around the knitting blogs lately (I wish I had thought to join dye-o-rama, but there’s always next time). Anyway, here’s a little progress report.
This array of colors:

(That little squiggle in the hank is from unravelling my swatch.) There’s also a blue-rusty version,
…and a pale green & blue that I just love.
At the moment I’m tossing around the idea dyeing my own yarn to knit a clapotis. Stay tuned for more dyeing in future posts.

They are so beautiful! Didn’t you find working with the acid dyes just as easy as dyeing with kool-aid? I love acid dyes!
