simple pleasures…

green gable

Green gable is done! Although my color choice is basic simple black (really I just couldn’t choose a color when I ordered), the pattern was wonderful to knit, and I had alot of fun. So much so that there will definitely be another one—I’m leaning towards a pale blue next time.

There was alot of discussion on the KAL about size issues, but luckily, I knit my size (36″) and got a pretty dead on fit. The only change I made was to add increases around the hips for a bit of room.

Still working on finishing up my fluffy cami. The edging was giving me fits, but thankfully, I could turn to my recent purchase of The Knitters Book of Finishing Techniques. (Kudos to Borders and their reward coupons!). I’m also still working on my second Jaywalker….pretty slow going. I think I already have a touch of second-sock-syndrome. I blame Sensational Knitted Socks, which I also picked up. I really want to start another pair. Nice patterns, so many different patterns…sigh.

But I’m always knitting something…

cutaway

…the back of my cutaway sweater. At least that’s coming along. But I still want to cast on a new pair of socks….

Looks awesome. I just finished mine and LOVE it. I, however did have sizing issues, but thankfully it appears 3 times around is a charm!

I am also in the finishing stages of Cutaway - looks like we have the same taste in our knits!

    Good luck with yours.

Kudos to you! Great job! I actually like the color black, it’s a no brainer and will pretty much go with anything.

[…] After finishing Orangina, I thought I’d better start putting all those finishing touches on all the wips that are lying around in limbo. Finish the crochet trim on the fluffy cami, rip back the top portion of my ribbon x-back and make it smaller. Finally add the turtleneck to the carraway sweater. Maybe even get cracking on my nautie that hasn’t been touched in like forever. Those good intentions lasted all of about 10 mins. So, yeah, presenting my progress on Rusted Root. […]

[…] And I didn’t forget about those Jaywalkers either. I’m going to take the next few days to get on that. Really. I am. Filed under: Works in Progress, rusted root — aquaknits at 9:07 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 […]
