f.o.s. & s.o.s. …
Been on sort of a mini-knitty kick lately. Cigar gloves are finally complete, thankfully the second glove went more quickly than the first. After I got over my fear of doing the fingers, that is.
As a treat, I also dug through my patons stash and cranked out this little cutie, Kate, from the current Knitty issue. My first knitted toy, and I just love her.

What I did learn from both these projects though, is that I’m not really fond of working on dpns in such small circumferences. But after all these little arms, legs and fingers, I bet trying out socks will feel sooo large. Still waiting on my yarns though, now 2 sock yarn orders any day.
In case anyone’s wondering what the status is on Carroway, I can only say, DUMB, DUMB, DUMB! I ran out of Iro yarn, 4 inches from the last shoulder!!! Have to make a dash to the LYS for another skein to complete it…..sigh.

Kate is so cute, my 3 year old son wouldn’t let me scroll down, he just wanted to look at the kitty!
Electra is beautiful, I really like the colors you chose, very pretty.

So annoying.
I have always been scared to try gloves. I started a pair of mittens and didn’t finish them because like you, I didn’t like working in dpn’s at such a small circumference. But, it paid off for you, because your gloves look great!

The feel great too.
Sadly, they were done just in time to not have to use them.
There is always next winter.

[…] After finishing Orangina, I thought I’d better start putting all those finishing touches on all the wips that are lying around in limbo. Finish the crochet trim on the fluffy cami, rip back the top portion of my ribbon x-back and make it smaller. Finally add the turtleneck to the carraway sweater. Maybe even get cracking on my nautie that hasn’t been touched in like forever. Those good intentions lasted all of about 10 mins. So, yeah, presenting my progress on Rusted Root. […]
