Men really DO listen/A very knitty X-mas
So, all those times I rambled on and on about knitting and patterns and wanting to learn to spin….apparently fnordboy really was listening. Here’s all the wonderful things he gave me for Christmas.
An Ashford Turkish Drop spindle, 1/2 pound of a gorgeous deep gray wool, and the softest natural alpaca ever, along with a book to get me started. He also gave me a ball winder (woohoo!). Isn’t he just the greatest guy ever?
Also pictured is a beautiful pair of ebony lantern moons in size 9, my first pair!! And a needle case along with gift certificates inside to a great LYS from his family. Thank you everyone!
As a side note, I did manage to finish my grandmother’s quilt, which she loved. Also, I had knitted a baby bonnet for fnord’s secret santa co-worker that I just never got around to blogging about.
Hope everyone had/has a wonderful holiday. Cheers.

I found your blog from fnordboy’s blog. I’m very impressed with your Xmas gifts! I haven’t tried spinning yet (but I plan to!) and a ball winder is rather fabulous too. Sooooo much better than throwing the yarn over the back of a chair and trying to wind it by hand.
And I just love that Jude Sweater. I recently knitted a shrug for myself out of that yarn and it was so nice to work with. I may need to make a sweater now too.
