Hot, Hot, HOT!

No, not a Hot Mess, just a little more spice for PS Fire, a pair of socks that I’ve been dying to start since the pattern came out.

Twisted Tweed Socks

Twisted Tweeds, in the same colorway as the Originals! I am SOOO in love with this pattern, it really goes a lot faster and is easier than it looks, and the finished product—beautiful!

I’ve been having even more fun with cables, big and chunky cables.

Gedifra Cabled Sweater

I’ll give you all the info on this one next post, when hopefully it will be all finished!

And another sweater coming on the needles, this one also for PS Fire.

Phildar Two-toned Sweater

From Phildar magazine. Even though the one pictured is a black and white number, mine is black and red. I though it would be nice if it were a little less contrast-y. The yarn I’m using is Valley Yarns Amherst, from Webs. Amazingly priced, and a fantastically soft merino.

Valley Yarns Amherst

While all of this is going on, I’m determined to get some of the older knits that have been sitting on my needles for well, forever, finished. I’m bound to get SOME knitting done tonight, during the Project Runway finale, right? Well, I’ll try.

So much to comment about! Those Twisted Tweeds are phenomenal-it’s good to hear they’re not as complicated as they look! That Phildar sweater looks very interesting-I’m curious to see how yours turns out. :)

Those socks look great, and I can’t wait to hear more about the cabled sweater, I’m drooling a bit looking at those big, fat cables.

How fun to do the socks in the same color way…yes, I’m a dork. Also, don’t Valley Yarns completely rule? I can’t believe how high quality they are compared to *cough* Knitpicks *cough*!

It’s always so exciting to see someone knit up a pattern that I wrote. I’m glad that you are enjoying the socks so far.

I can’t wait to see more of the cabled sweater…

The socks look fantastic. I love the color and the pattern. The cabled (sweater) looks great too and the new pattern looks very intruiging too.
