Firewoman

Some projects that have languished around are finally coming off the needles:

Gentleman's Fancy Socks

project: Gentleman’s Fancy Socks
source: Knitting Vintage Socks
yarn: Dream in Color Smooshy Sock - 1 hank
color: Good Luck Jade
needles: #1 dpns

Gentleman's Fancy Socks

These were done last week (you may have noticed a little sneak peek in my PS Fire collage in the last post).

I’m so happy to have these finished. Totally love their squooshiness, fantastic yarn.

And another pair from way back in time.

Pomatomus Socks

project: Pomatomus Socks
source: Knitty.com
yarn: Koigu - KPPPM
color: #334 - 3 hanks
needles: #1 dpns

Pomatomus Socks

Once I finished the first sock and had to dip into the second skein, I knew I would need a 3rd, so these were on hold a long time.

Since the dyelots were totally different, the second sock has a missmatched skein as the cuff and heel. Kinda hard to tell, but the foot closer to the camera has the lighter skein (less brown).

And for PS-Fire, we have a wonderfully warm pair of Evangelines.

Evangeline

project: Evangeline
source: Magknits
yarn: Malabrigo worsted
color: Brown Berries - less than 1 hank
needles: #6 dpns

I’m totally in love with these. The pattern is fantastic (thanks Michelle!), and the Malabrigo was just made for toasty hands. I did one extra pattern repeat before the thumb, just to add a tiny bit more length.

Evangeline

After seeing Tiennie’s rainbow of cables, I knew these were just the mitts I wanted to match the scarf that’s also speeding off the sticks for PS.

Here and There Cables

I’m hoping I can get this one done quickly, since I also have some sweater action planned for our Fire theme.

sKNITches shop update: Tomorrow, Feb. 13th at 2p.m. EST. Lots of yarns are being added, as well as a brand new line!!

LOVE the Pomotomowhatsits! I used that yarn for my jaywalkers and it has to be one of my favorite colorways. I think it looks fantastic as pomotomowomosomofomowatchamajiggers.

Knock me over! These are the best! The first ones look like the Alternating 2×2 Rib pattern I adore so much and Potmaomas is something I hope to knit one day. Great colors. That so exciting you are adding new yarns and colors to your store. It makes me want to cast on with one of your sKnitches yarns I have in the stash:)
